Posing Examples
April Cunningham Photography prioritizes the safety and comfort of your baby above everything else. These posing examples are meant to show the types of wraps and posing that may be used for your session. Please keep in mind that all babies are different. What works for one baby may not work for another. All of my sessions are baby-led. This means that I take my cues from your baby. All posing, props, and styling are at the discretion of the photographer. You can request specific poses but your baby will determine the workflow for our session. If a pose isn't able to be achieved safely or comfortably, I will not do it.
For sibling and family photos, posing may vary based on cooperation and sibling age. Siblings can be unpredictable in a session and are often feeling out of sorts with all the new family adjustments. Composite images will not only ensure safety for the baby but will also allow a less stressful experience for the sibling.
Images marked as "composite" are achieved by taking multiple photographs and merging them in post-processing. Parents may be asked to assist when composite images are requested. Hands will be kept on your baby at all times and they will be fully supported.
If you have booked a Memory Collection (fully wrapped/baby-only session), please note that not all of the poses shown below will be attempted based on the timing of the session. Only fully/partially wrapped poses will be attempted. If you have questions about what is included, please contact me.
